June Regents Per Session Opportunities
Postings for Scorer, Content Trainer, Organizational Team Members, and (active employee). Qualified staff are invited to apply.
Postings for Lead Content Trainer (Teacher (#305), Supervisor (#303), and Retired Site Supervisor (#304)) positions are now available online. Scoring Reminders:-The Comprehensive English, Integrated Algebra, and Living Environment exams will be scored during the school day at distributed scoring sites. All other exams will be scored after regular school hours – at per session distributed scoring sites –EXCEPT for the Global History & Geography Regent. Instead, your school will score its own Global History & Geography Regents exams (as in prior years).
Scheduling and Printing: If your school will be administering Regents exams, you should have already scheduled the majority (over 60%) of students in STARS. You may now begin printing answer documents via ATS and should complete printing by January 17.

2012-13 Comprehensive Education Plans (CEP) and School Comprehensive Education Plans (SCEP) are due on January 18. Principals will receive an email on December 12 (from noreply@iplanportal.com) with login information to access their customized CEP or SCEP template in the iPlan Portal.

Change to School Calendar - Due to Super Storm Sandy.......
STATEMENT BY CHANCELLOR DENNIS M. WALCOTT, CSA PRESIDENT ERNEST LOGAN, AND UFT PRESIDENT MICHAEL MULGREW
"...In order to make-up the days students lost and to retain our eligibility for state funding, the last three days of winter break (February 20-22) will become full school days, and the June 4th clerical half day will also become a full day of class instruction."

January Regents exams administered at high schools will be scored under a new distributed scoring model. Under this model, scoring of 7 exams will be completed through centrally administered per session activities.

  3. Global History & Geography
  4. Physical Setting/Chemistry
  5. Physical Setting/Earth Science
  6. Physical Setting/Physics
  7. US History and Government
Per session postings (#77-79, #92-97) for these exams have been published. The deadline to apply for postings #77-79 is November 26; the application deadline for the other positions is December 6. Applications must be submitted through the online application portal. Please inform your staff about these opportunities.

The Specialized High Schools Admissions Test (SHSAT) scheduled for this Saturday, November 3, has been rescheduled to Saturday, November 17. Accommodations will be made for students with conflicts.
The SHSAT exam scheduled for Sunday, October 28, has been rescheduled for Sunday, November 18. Accommodations will be made for students with conflicts.
High School interviews, assessments and auditions scheduled for November 3-4 are canceled and will be rescheduled. LaGuardia High School auditions scheduled for November 3-4 will be rescheduled for November 10-11.
The GED Examination that is scheduled for this weekend will be canceled. In addition, all Office of Adult and Continuing Education (OACE) classes for this Saturday are cancelled. Superintendents will be communicating with Principals in District 79/ Alternative Schools and Programs (ASP) and the OACE to update them on disruptions. Please visit our web site for additional information.
The SAT administration scheduled for this weekend (Saturday, November 3 and Sunday, November 4), has been cancelled in the five boroughs of New York City. A makeup date has been scheduled for New York City public schools on Saturday, November 17 for the November 3 test-takers, and Sunday, November 18 for those test-takers who were scheduled to test on Sunday, November 4. Students can also go online and change their test date to a regularly scheduled December administration date.

Order High School Diploma Certificates and Seals
High schools / Deadline: October 19
High schools and District 75 high school programs should use the ODPL function in ATS to order diploma certificates and seals for students who are expected to graduate in the 2012-13 school year. Specify both January and June deliveries. The deadline to order diplomas is October 19th regardless of delivery dates.
You may choose to have student names printed on diplomas. If you choose this service, your school will be responsible for the cost. Get information on how to purchase this service here.
